It is, collectively, the largest employer in Bend - and it also has the privilege of claiming the #1 tourist destination in Central Oregon year after year. Downtown Bend deserves to be chosen to win America's Main Street Contest because it beautifully models the American dream of small business ownership, community, and giving back. If Downtown Bend won the $25K, they would be able to invest in Holiday decor, creating a magical winter wonderland for our residents and visitors alike, and bringing joy to thousands.
