Located on the longest continuous Main Street in the U.S., Belleville, Illinois downtown's historic character provides a charming backdrop to our unique boutiques and restaurants. The adjacent neighborhoods and growing loft community provides residential living within walking distance of all we offer. And everything comes alive under the lights at night! Our over 50 local, independent restaurants and shops are the heart and soul of Belleville. We pride ourselves on the Mom and Pop shops in business for generations as well as the newer merchants offering fresh alternatives to big chain stores. Once someone shops till they've dropped, they can fortify themselves at any of our unique restaurants offering everything from Sushi and Tapas to twists on American Cuisine. We also have a burgeoning music scene sure to appeal to everyone, either through free concerts at our square, or gigs at the historic Lincoln Theatre or our bars. And don't forget to our various museums! Our Committee works to make Belleville a lively home AND destination. We host Beer and Wine Walks, Diva Nights Out, and celebrate St. Patrick's Day in a big way with a 5K, Hibernian's Parade, and Block Party. We also welcome events sponsored by other organizations such as the Chili Cook-off, Belleville Marathon, Oktoberfest, the only Christkindlmarkt in Illinois South of Chicago, and Art on the Square. Recognizing our farming roots, we host the Old Town Farmers' Market which provides local seasonal produce and meats from May through November. With your vote, we will continue to make improvements throughout downtown through joint ventures with the City of Belleville. Our community is brimming with dining, shopping, services and entertainment. We encourage you to join us in discovering and appreciating our historic, vibrant, and beautiful Downtown Belleville!
